Well I’m back in the USA but more often than not, thinking about Negociant. While I was in Dubbo just over a week ago, I gathered some new photographical material, including this shot taken at the Western Plains Cultural Centre’s museum, which houses a small display on Serisier. Well worth a visit for anyone wanting to know a little more about the man and his life.
In the background of the image is a family bible and wedding slippers worn by his daughter-in-law.
The wording is taken from a newspaper article written at the time about Eumalga, the vineyard started by Serisier and famous not only for it’s wine but hospitality shared.
